Mrs. Garrett loves children! That's how my first resume began! It was

true in 1991 and it's still true today after......

• raising three children of my own,
• getting my Master's Degree in education,
• becoming Nationally Board Certified,
• teaching in a small private school for two years,
• substitute teaching in Minneapolis for a year,
• teaching kindergarten and first grade at Dowling for nine years,
• teaching children with learning disabilities in Minneapolis for five years,
• teaching students with severe behavior problems in Minneapolis, and.........
• becoming a 4th grade teacher here at Dowling!
  

I love children and want to see them advance in their learning as much as possible. My goal in teaching is to create an atmosphere that will cause students to feel secure, valued, and to be enthusiastic about learning.
