Teaching at Dowling Elementary is a real joy for me. I like the family feel of the school. The staff has taught at Dowling for many years and they do not leave this school for other schools. The teachers all get along at Dowling and it is a wonderful environment in which to work in. The students and parents are also wonderful to work with. The high support of the parents is a real plus as they help out in many capacities at Dowling.
In my classroom I enjoy an atmosphere that is warm and caring, respectful, and motivated to learn. All my lessons teach to the state standards. I believe in the slogan "Success For All". No matter what level the students arrive at at my door in the fall, they all receive instruction to the highest standards. I enjoy seeing them all working hard and it's a joy to see their progress at the end of the year. This is one of the reasons I went into teaching.
