Please consider joining the Dowling Site Council!
We are looking for more parent voices to join with our staff to create an environment that is open and inviting through enrichment and engagement.
Minneapolis Schools each have a Site Council where staff, parents, and neighbors collaborate on school climate, priorities, budget, facilities, policy, communications, and family engagement.
All Site Council meetings are open to the public. Once an interested staff, parent, or community member chooses to commit to participating on a regular basis, they can be voted in as a Site Council member. Membership is regulated through by-laws written in state law and should represent the diversity of the school community.
The Dowling Site Council currently meets every month on a Friday from 8:15 am—9:00 am in the Media Center. Parents are welcome to bring their children to quietly read or use the media computers while we meet.
Please email Principal Page (kari.page@mpls.k12.mn.us) if you are interested in joining. Member or not; all staff, parents, and neighbors are welcome to attend the Site Council’s Wellness, Environment, Communications, or Diversity Committees. Together we can help make Dowling a great learning community!
